The white connector slot is suitable for a white\/black cable, which is the SPUR or branch cable, also known as: Drop Cable (Drop Trunk Cable). The wrong cable will not fit into the wrong slot. When preparing for installation, make a plan so that a BackBone cable of the appropriate length runs to all locations where STNG (NMEA 2000) devices are to be installed.
