Raymarine DeviceNet (Female) to STNG Spur (Female) Adaptor Cable. This is a cable that allows devices with an NMEA2000 (Male) connector to be connected to a Raymarine STNG network. The connection is made from the rear of the NMEA2000 device into the white socket of the STNG connector. The STNG connector's blue sockets are used to connect the Backbone cable, which runs the length of the boat for the STNG network. It is advisable to build the network using Backbone cables of different lengths to allow for breaks and the addition of T-connectors or 5-Way connectors where different STNG or NMEA2000 instruments need to be added. The Backbone is the main cable of the STNG network, and STNG terminators, connectors, and a 12V power supply must be added to start, extend, or terminate the network. STNG blue and white cables cannot be connected incorrectly; in addition to colour coding, STNG cables also have different pin layouts. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with the operating principles of the STNG (NMEA2000) network. NB! The blue and white nuts on the STNG connector sockets should only be turned a quarter of a turn. Corresponding markings are indicated on the product.
