Raymarine DeviceNet (Male) to STNG Spur (Female) Adaptor Cable is a short (120mm) adapter cable used to connect a cable with an NMEA2000 Female connector to the Raymarine STNG network. This adapter is suitable for converting any NMEA2000 Female connector to an STNG Female connector. The STNG connector is plugged into the white socket of the STNG connector. The Backbone cable, which runs from the beginning to the end of the STNG network on the boat, is connected to the blue sockets of the STNG connector. It is advisable to construct the network using Backbone cables of different lengths to allow for breaks and the addition of T-connectors or 5-way connectors where various STNG or NMEA2000 instruments need to be added. The Backbone is the main cable of the STNG network, and STNG terminators, connectors, and a 12V power supply must be added to start, extend, or terminate the network. STNG blue and white cables cannot be connected incorrectly; in addition to colour coding, STNG cables also have a different pin arrangement. Familiarise yourself with the operating principles of the STNG (NMEA2000) network before using the product. NB! The blue and white nuts of the STNG connector sockets should only be tightened a quarter turn. Corresponding markings are indicated on the product.
