The RV-220 through-hull transducer pair makes it easy to scan underwater objects, submerged structures, and find fish with the lifelike imagery of RealVision 3D™ sonar. The RV-220 system is a four-channel, wide-spectrum CHIRP transducer system, featuring DownVision™, SideVision™, high-frequency CHIRP fish targeting, and RealVision 3D™ sonar. The transducer system has a built-in Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS). This system stabilises sonar imagery by automatically compensating for vessel motion, resulting in a crystal-clear image even in waves and during manoeuvres. The RV-220 system has a built-in fast-response water temperature sensor. The Raymarine RV-220 through-hull transducer kit includes two RealVision 3D Max transducers with their internal elements angled relative to the outer housing, and this tilt is suitable for hull angles between 14° and 26°. The low-profile design glides through the water freely, creating no drag or turbulence. Be sure to also check out this product with instructions and in case of questions, consult our specialist.

What to monitor when installing Raymarine RV transducers

RealVision Max 3D™ transducers guarantee maximum sonar image detail and accuracy only when installed correctly. In addition to the official installation guide, be sure to follow these principles:

1. Choose the correct power supply

Do not connect Axiom2 Pro RVX-i ega RVX1000 sonar module to the starter motor. The sound generated when the engine starts Ping-pong can To cause the sonar image to be lost, which disrupts the device's operation and navigation.

2. Avoid installation locations that create turbulence

The floor covering must not be installed in the vicinity of air intakes, protruding parts or other obstructions, which can cause Turbulence and air bubbles – these affect sonar image quality.

3. Precise and symmetrical installation is critically important!

  • The hardware must be installed exactly parallel, the same distance from the stern of the boat.

  • If one sensor is ahead of or behind another, The sonar image is shifting..

  • Andurite The distance must not exceed 2 metres (preferably up to 1 metre on either side of the wedge).

4. Depth below the waterline

The doors must be installed at least 300 mm below the water line – during travel, to ensure continuous water contact.

5. Effect of magnetic fields on the AHRS system

On the RV-anduritel Integrated AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference Sensor), stabilises the sonar image.

  • Avoid installation metal and components with strong electromagnetic radiation nearby (e.g. engine blocks, inverters, chargers, electrical panels).

  • When necessary Turn off the AHRS function from the menu If it does not work correctly due to interference.

RV-220 bronze hull-mounted sensor pair, 20° angle, 2 m Y-cable and 8 m extension cable

The RV-200 series transducers feature DownVision™, SideVision™, 600-watt High CHIRP, and 3D sonar support. The transducer has a built-in Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) that stabilises the 3D sonar imagery by automatically compensating for boat motion. The RV-200 series also has a built-in fast-response water temperature sensor for quick and accurate readings.

The RV-220 is a pair of starboard and port transducers, designed for boats with a hull deadrise angle of 14° to 26°. Each transducer element is tilted 20° to compensate for the hull's deadrise angle.

The RV-220 transducers have angled sonar elements within their surface-mount housings. The angled elements ensure the sonar beam is properly aligned for maximum performance, while also eliminating the drag and turbulence associated with installing a transducer with a blocked cover. The kit includes a Y-cable to internally connect two transducers and an 8-metre RV(M) transducer extension cable.

Works with Axiom 2 Pro RVX series and RVX1000 external sonar module

Features:

  • 600W traditional CHIRP
  • High-performance Down and SideVision elements
  • Aerodynamic housing with insulation board
  • 2M Y-cable
  • 8M extension lead
  • The RV-220 port and starboard sensor pair is suitable for hulls with a pitch angle between 14° and 26°.
