Raymarine Quantum 2 – CHIRP Doppler radar for maximum safety at sea
Raymarine Quantum 2 is the new generation CHIRP pulse compression radar, which uses Doppler radar target detection technology, The exceptional safety for both near and far views is provided by the Doppler data processing, which displays moving targets with colour codes, allowing for quick and accurate situation assessment.
Quantum 2 automatically processes moving contacts and colour code them according to the direction of movement – red means approaching, green object. This visual information makes hazard detection quick and intuitive.
Quantum 2 is supported fully automatic MARPA target tracking – it’s the same technology that also relies on United States Coast Guard. Set custom safety zones and allow the radar to automatically track new contacts, calculating their course, speed, and closest point of approach.
