Raymarine's reversible hydraulic autopilot pump is designed for boats with hydraulic steering. To choose the correct pump, you need to know the volume of your boat's steering cylinder. Based on the cylinder volume, you will determine the pump type, and according to the pump type, you will also need to select the autopilot course computer. You must also consider whether the boat's electrical system is 12V or 24V. If you are replacing an existing pump with a new one, the process is simpler; check the type and operating voltage or serial number on the old pump. The pump comes with bronze adapters for connecting 1/4 NPT male threaded fittings to the pump's 1/4 BSP female threaded ports.
