The Raymarine STNG In-Line Terminator is a crucial part of an STNG (NMEA2000) network. An STNG network must start and end with a terminator, with strictly only 2 terminators required per network. The In-Line terminator is for when the network starts or ends with a spur cable; in this case, the In-Line terminator is connected to the end of the Back-Bone cable, and then the spur cable, which goes directly to the device, is connected to the end of the terminator. Once the network is complete, there must be no empty blue sockets on an STNG network. All cables and connectors are colour-coded; blue and white cables cannot be plugged into the wrong socket on an STNG connector, as the pin layout is different. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with the operating principles of an STNG (NMEA2000) network. NB! The blue and white nuts on STNG connectors should only be turned a quarter turn. Corresponding markings are indicated on the product.
