The Raymarine STNG In-Line terminator is a very important part of an STNG (NMEA 2000) network. An STNG network must start and end with a terminator, and there must be strictly only 2 terminators per network. The In-Line terminator is for cases where the network starts or ends with a spur cable; in this situation, the In-Line terminator is connected to the end of the Back-Bone cable, and in turn, the spur cable that goes directly to the device is connected to its end. When the network is ready, there should be no empty blue sockets in an STNG network. All cables and connectors are colour-coded; blue and white cables cannot be connected to the wrong socket on an STNG connector due to the different pin layout. Before using the product, familiarise yourself with the operating principles of an STNG (NMEA 2000) network. NB! The blue and white nuts on STNG connectors should only be turned a quarter turn. Corresponding markings are indicated on the product.
