The STNG Power cable is a crucial network component. This cable supplies the STNG network with 12V voltage. If there is no power to the network, the network will not work. The STNG network is usually powered from one location and preferably from the centre of the network, according to the LEN equivalent, so that the load on both sides of the power supply is more or less equal. The STNG network power supply is intended solely for sensors and instruments powered directly from the STNG network. Power must not be taken from the STNG network for plotters, car radios, phone chargers, and other consumers not designed to be powered directly from the STNG (NMEA2000) network. The Power cable is connected to the (blue/black) Backbone cable using a T-connector or a 5-way connector. The Backbone cable runs the length of the STNG network on the boat, and it is sensible to construct the network using cables of various lengths so that breaks can be made and T-connectors or 5-way connectors can be added at points where different STNG instruments need to be connected. The Backbone is the main cable of the STNG network, and to start, extend, or terminate the network, STNG terminators, connectors, and 12V power must be added. STNG blue and white cables cannot be connected incorrectly, in addition to the colour coding, STNG cables also have different pin configurations. Familiarise yourself with the operating principle of the STNG (NMEA 2000) network before using the product. NB! The blue and white nuts on the sockets of STNG connectors should only be turned a quarter of a turn. Corresponding markings are indicated on the product.
