The STNG network Power cable is a very important network component. This cable supplies the STNG network with 12V voltage. If there is no power to the network, the network will not work. The STNG network is usually supplied with power from one location and preferably located in the centre of the network according to the LEN equivalent, so that the load on both sides of the power supply is more or less equal. The STNG network power supply is intended only for sensors and instruments that receive power directly from the STNG network. Power must not be taken from the STNG network for plotters, car radios, phone chargers and other consumers that are not designed to receive power directly from the STNG (NMEA2000) network. The Power cable is connected to the (blue/black) BackBone cable using a T-connector or a 5-Way connector. The BackBone cable runs from the beginning to the end of the STNG network on the boat, and it is sensible to construct the network using cables of different lengths so that breaks can be made and T-connectors or 5-Way connectors can be added in places where different STNG instruments need to be added. The BackBone is the main cable of the STNG network, and STNG terminators, connectors and 12V power must be added to start, extend or terminate the network. STNG Blue and white cables cannot be connected incorrectly; in addition to colour coding, STNG cables also have a different pin layout. Familiarise yourself with the operating principles of the STNG (NMEA2000) network before using the product. NB! The blue and white nuts on the STNG connector sockets should only be turned a quarter turn. Corresponding markings are indicated on the product.
