Tiller Bracket 76mm (ST1000+, ST2000+, ST4000 tiller)

The tiller bracket attaches to the tiller pin, allowing the pin pilot drive's mounting point to be raised or lowered relative to the tiller pin. This bracket is suitable for mounting both on top of and below the pin. The Tiller Bracket is available in 25mm, 51mm, 76mm, 105mm, and 127mm increments. During installation, it's not always possible to precisely control where the rear end of an ST1000+, ST2000+, ST4000 pin pilot drive is attached. You must always choose the most sensible, accessible, and strongest location. At the same time, important installation measurements must be adhered to: 460mm from the tiller crosspiece towards the tiller handle and as parallel (horizontal) as possible to the boat and the tiller. Another important measurement is the so-called “Midstroke”, or centre position. For the ST1000+ and ST2000+, this is 589mm, and for the ST4000, it is 620mm. These are the distances between the centres of the tiller and hull-side mountings. For an ideal result, you may need to use various extension links, brackets designed to raise or lower the tiller plane, and horizontal or vertical wall-mounted extension supports.
