Self-installable NMEA 2000® Micro-C connector Female

The Maretron in-line NMEA 2000 Micro-C straight connector is designed to create straight cable terminations. The connector can be fitted to the ends of all NMEA 2000 cables taken from the reel with a diameter of 6-8 mm. The connector has screw terminals for cable connection and a connector with a Micro-C end. It is important to use only dedicated NMEA 2000® approved cables and connectors in NMEA 2000® networks to ensure correct data transmission and network reliability. Use original adapter cables to integrate your NMEA2000 network with a Raymarine STNG network. Do not duplicate the power supply circuit or earthing of different integrated networks.

Quick guide

Thread the NMEA 2000 cable through the connector housing. Strip approximately 20 mm of the cable's outer insulation. Cut the blue wire 7 mm shorter than the others. Clean the wire ends and fit uninsulated ferrules (max. length 6 mm) to all wires that will be screwed down. Fit a heat shrink tube over the unsleeved drain wire to prevent it from touching the screw for the central Can-L (blue) terminal. The blue wire, which is 7 mm shorter than the others, should be connected last. Insert the connector core into the housing so that the wire groove faces the desired direction; there are 4 possible positions. Hand-tighten the plastic nut; do not overtighten. Ensure the cable exiting the connector is free in the socket and manually tighten the cable strain relief nut.
