Raymarine EV2 – DBW Autopilot 9-Axis Sensor and Course Computer

The EV-2 is designed for newer drive-by-wire control systems. The unit has one STNG port that connects directly to the Raymarine SeaTalkng (NMEA2000) network. The EV-2's second dedicated CAN bus port connects to drive-by-wire steering systems – for example, ZF Pod Drives, Yamaha Helm Master, Volvo Penta IPS SeaStar Solutions Optimus systems. With an EV-2 connection, the drive-by-wire CAN bus no longer requires an Autopilot Control Unit (ACU), further simplifying installation. When selecting the location for the EV2, the principle is the same as for the previous fluxgate compass: ensure the sensor is kept away from cables and metal objects.

P70 / P70s Autopilot Control Unit (Sail)

The p70 / p70s autopilot control unit is a keypad-controlled unit specifically designed for sailing boats. The advanced LED backlight provides low power consumption while offering vibrant colour and contrast. Wide horizontal and vertical viewing angles ensure the display can be clearly seen even from acute angles.

The p70 / p70s control unit includes the LightHouse user interface and a setup wizard feature to help you get your autopilot installed quickly and easily.

Upgrade your Evolution autopilot system with a P70 or P70R autopilot control unit. The p70 and p70R control heads offer vibrant colour displays and are equipped with Raymarine's intuitive LightHouse user interface. LightHouse organises all options into simple menu structures, and with the Evolution fast-setup process, your system will be up and running in minutes. The p70 is designed for sailing yachts and offers simple 1° and 10° straight-line increment buttons. The p70R includes a rotary control knob, designed for powerboat use, allowing menu and course changes or manual control directly from the p70R.

Autopilot control from Raymarine MFDs

Use your Raymarine Axiom series or older aSeries, cSeries, eSeries, or gS Series multifunction display to control your Evolution autopilot. Please note that your multifunction display must be running Raymarine LightHouse 4 or 5, and for older chartplotters, LightHouse II software, and some autopilot functions may not be available if your system does not have a dedicated autopilot control unit.
