The Ray63 is a competitively priced Class D DSC marine radio with all the necessary features, a clearly readable LCD screen, and an integrated GPS receiver. An external GPS antenna can also be connected if required. The DISTRESS button on the front panel allows for sending Mayday calls to shore stations and other vessels. Features include multi-channel watch and scan functions, a 25W/5W transmitter, and a sensitive receiver. The microphone also has buttons for changing channels. It conforms to the IPX7 waterproof standard. The Ray63 is designed to complement Raymarine chartplotters. The Ray63 marine radio has STNG (NMEA2000) and NMEA0183 interfaces for easy integration into new or existing networks. An additional handset and passive loudspeaker can be added to the Ray63 VHF radio, providing a second fully functional communication point and onboard intercom functionality. However, a LoudHailer cannot be added to this model, nor does it have the capability for automatic foghorn and voice command functions.
