Wind sensor only. Spare part for Raymarine RSW Smart Wind kit.
Only the wind transducer is a necessary spare part and it is unlikely that you will need to buy a whole new Raymarine RSW Smart Wind kit. NB! The RSW wind transducer (R70941) does not come with mounting plate, mastigably egg RSW Gateway-d. Before purchasing a new RSW Wind Sensor, check that the mast cable is in good condition and inspect all plugs and other connections. Check that the Axiom plotter, i70s, and Alpha display can “see” the RSW Smart Wind Gateway and also check the status of the LED indicator on the Gateway. If the Gateway is visible on the plotter and there is still no wind signal, then check the Gateway's error message. The meanings of the light signals are described in the user manual. The Raymarine RSW Wired Smart Wind sensor is a professional-grade wind sensor that offers highly accurate and calibrated wind speed and direction readings.
NB! RSW Wind Gateway mounting clamp PEAB to be connected to the boat's ground or, if that is not available, at least to the battery's negative terminal! This is very important, otherwise the RSW Gateway will break and in the worst case the RSW wind sensor will also break.
Tip: Install the cable for the wind sensor on the mast so that a “drip loop” is formed before the RSW Gateway. This will prevent rainwater and condensation from entering the RSW Gateway.
