The FLIR M232 pan and tilt camera is FLIR's smallest and most affordable pan and tilt camera for marine use. With a 320 x 240 resolution, the M232 improves safety by revealing vessels and obstructions at night. Enjoy a 360-degree view while on the water.
Why are thermal cameras better? – Thermal cameras detect and display images based on minute differences, not light. Regardless of how much light is available – from pitch-black moonlight to strong midday glare – FLIR detectors capture heat energy radiating from anything, even ice, or reflecting it. FLIR cameras then convert temperature variations into sharp infrared video images, allowing you to see at night and navigate in complete darkness.
Combine with the M232 Raymarine Axiom MFD and utilise FLIR's ClearCruise ™ Intelligent set thermal analysis. ClearCruise ™ announces audible and visual warnings when non-water objects such as boats, obstacles or navigation markers appear on the scene. This improves the overall situational awareness of boaters, both day and night.
The M232 also improves navigation and safety, helping to see bridges, docks, buoys and other vessels during both night and day. The FLIR M232 helps boaters find people in the water faster than with spotlights and radar alone.
The M232 uses FLIR's latest generation Boson. ™ termal imaging and offers optimised viewing with a full 320 x 240 resolution for horizon-to-horizon viewing and 4x continuous e-zoom.
The FLIR M232's small and lightweight design, combined with IP video connectivity, makes it easy and fast to install on any vessel and integrate with multiple MFDs.
„Plug and Play” IP compatibility with Raymarine MFDs running LightHouse II v.19 software, or Raymarine Axiom and Axiom Pro displays running Lighthouse 3. Compatible Raymarine MFDs include aSeries, cSeries, eSeries, eSeries, gS Series and Axiom.
The following Garmin MFDs are supported for full FLIR integration (control and viewing) with software upgrade to version V10.0: Garmin GPSMap 84xx/86xx series, GPSMap 74xx/76xx series, GPSMap 10×2/12×2 series, GPSMap 7×2/9×2 series, GPSMap 8k (this includes 80xx, 85xx, both Garmin and Volvo models), Yamaha CL7.
Please note: The Garmin Power over Ethernet (PoE) Isolation Coupler (model 16361800, Garmin part number 010-10580-10) is required when connecting any non-Garmin device to the Garmin marine Ethernet network. This is a requirement regardless of whether those devices use PoE or not.

This is a specific product which, when used in systems other than Raymarine LightHouse 2/3/4/5, requires at least elementary knowledge of computer networking, IP addresses, and IP to Analogue video decoder configuration. If you already know you will be using this product elsewhere than in the aforementioned Raymarine systems, it is essential to purchase the JCU-3 joystick additionally. If you are hesitant about whether you will manage, consult your IT specialist before purchasing. If success is questionable or still seems difficult, it is wiser to forgo purchasing this product.
