The ST2000 Plus deck autopilot is designed for sailing boats steered by a tiller. It is clearly a well-known and popular product amongst owners of smaller tiller-steered sailing boats. It allows you to move about the boat more freely and, for the most part, does the job well. If the weather becomes very rough, it is advisable to steer the boat yourself. The maximum boat weight is up to 4,500 kg. It is recommended to allow a margin of 20%. Installation is straightforward and, provided you read the instructions, most boat owners can manage it themselves. Before making your choice, download the instructions and measure the length of your boat’s deck, the height from the floor and the distance to the nearest support point. This will immediately clarify which accessories you need to ensure a smooth, problem-free installation. The transom mount features both Seatalk1 and NMEA 0183 connections, so the ST2000+ is capable of reading waypoint information from the chartplotter and data from other instruments. Be sure to also check out this product instructions and in case of questions, consult our specialist.

Raymarine Tiller Pilot – the most popular autopilot for tiller-steered yachts

Originally produced by the English company Nautech in 1973 under the name Autohelm. The Autohelm brand was later acquired by Raytheon, becoming Raymarine, which to this day produces more modern successors to the original 1973 device. The ST1000 / ST2000 series Tiller Pilot has been one of the world's most popular autopilots, offering unprecedented reliability, performance, and ease of use. The ST2000 Plus tiller pilots are designed for sailboats weighing up to 4,500 kg. Being the most popular does not necessarily mean it is the best; this product should be taken as it is.

Thanks to smart features such as AutoTack and AutoState Sailing becomes even easier – the pilot steers the boat and holds the course, saving energy at the same time. The LCD display with a 6-button control panel makes the device intuitive and easy to use both independently and together with SeaTalk/NMEA GPS systems.
