The EV-100 Power pilot can be used in smaller motorboats with a hydraulic steering system. The EV-100 Power pilot is designed for leisure boats with a working cylinder volume between 50cc-110cc and a supply voltage of 12V. The pilot consists of a Type 0.5 hydraulic pump, a P70Rs control unit, a new single axis sensor EV-1, and an ACU-100 pump control unit. Evolution series autopilots have a single axis sensor with AST function. Evolution autopilots also work without a rudder feedback unit, but we recommend adding one if possible. For Volvo-Penta drives, a special mounting kit must be added to connect the rudder feedback unit. Also be prepared for some modifications to the steering hydraulic hoses on your boat. Usually, T-fittings are needed for the pump, and a third hose needs to be run from the pump back to the steering actuator. The EV-100 Power autopilot is perfect for boats with a single outboard and hydraulic steering!
With the EVOLUTION Autopilot from Raymarine, steering your boat becomes easier than before. Difficult calibration is no longer necessary. Due to the intelligent EV-sensor, the autopilot monitors multiple boat movements in all directions and automatically adjusts the steering to match existing sea conditions, without the user having to adjust any other settings. Safe arrival at the planned destination is guaranteed. A further big advantage of the autopilot is flexibility of installation. The device itself can be installed where it is easiest for you to access, while the EV-sensor can be mounted where it makes most sense to you, no matter if above or below deck. There are no restrictions concerning the installation compared to common heading sensors. The core of the sensor is water-protected to IPx6 and IPx7. Components are easily connected via SeaTalk and all cables required are included. The autopilot is NMEA2000 compatible.
