The EV-150 Hydraulic pilot can be used on motorboats with a hydraulic steering system. The EV-150 Hydraulic pilot is designed for leisure craft with a working cylinder volume between 80cc-230cc and a supply voltage of 12V. The pilot consists of a Type 1 hydraulic pump, a P70Rs control unit, a new EV-1 solid-state compass and an ACU-150 autopilot computer. The Evolution series autopilots feature a solid-state compass with AST functionality. Evolution autopilots will function without a rudder feedback unit, but we recommend installing one if possible. For Volvo Penta drives, a special mounting kit is required to connect the rudder feedback unit. Be prepared to reconfigure your boat's steering hoses. This typically involves adding tees for the pump and routing a third hose from the pump back to the steering cylinder. Raymarine EV-150 Hydraulic Autopilot (T70330)

The Raymarine EV-150 Hydraulic Autopilot is the perfect solution for fishing and cruising boats with small to medium-sized hydraulic steering systems. The EV-150 system is specifically designed for boats with a steering cylinder capacity ranging from 80cc to 230cc. The kit is intended for boats with 12-volt DC electrical systems only and includes all the components required for a complete installation, including the p70Rs autopilot control head, EV1 sensor, ACU150 actuator control unit, Type 1 hydraulic pump, and the Evolution autopilot cable starter kit.

The set includes:

  1. EV1 Sensor Core: The EV1 is designed for Evolution mechanical and hydraulic autopilot systems. Its SeaTalkng network connection allows for a single-cable connection to the Evolution ACU (Actuator Control Unit) and other SeaTalkng and NMEA2000 networks.

  2. ACU-150: The ACU-150 provides power and control for the Raymarine Type-1 hydraulic steering system (M81120). It connects to other components via the SeaTalkng network and offers a connection for a rudder feedback sensor (sold separately). Operates only on 12V DC systems.

  3. p70R / p70Rs Autopilot Control Unit: The p70R / p70Rs control unit is designed for motor yachts and includes touch buttons and a rotary dial. It offers precise LED backlighting and a wide-angle display.

  4. Type 1 Hydraulic Pump (12V) The hydraulic pump operates with the vessel's steering system, providing precise control as part of a Raymarine autopilot system. It can be used for existing hydraulic steering systems as well as with a mechanical steering system with the addition of a steering cylinder.

  5. Evolution Cabling Kit – R70160: The cabling kit contains all the components necessary to connect the device to the SeaTalkng network.
