What is included
The Evolution Autopilot SeaTalk NG Cable Kit is already included with the EV Autopilot core packs and typically does not need to be purchased separately. However, it is an ideal way to start your Raymarine STNG network as a separate product. The Evolution cable kit allows you to connect 3 STNG devices and an STNG power cable, leaving one T-connector spare. You can expand your STNG network by adding additional cables and connectors as needed.
- SeaTalk NG BackBone cable 5m product code: A06036
- SeaTalk NG T-connector (2 pcs) product code: A06028
- SeaTalk NG 5-Way Connector, Product Code: A06064
- SeaTalk NG Backbone Terminator (2 pcs.), product code: A06031
- SeaTalk NG 1 m SPUR cable, product code: A06040
- SeaTalk NG power cable, product code: A06049
All Raymarine SeaTalk NG cables and connectors are colour-coded:
The blue connector on the coupler is for a blue/black cable, which is the BackBone or main cable, also known as the Trunk Cable. The white connector on the coupler is for a white/black cable, which is the SPUR or branch cable, also known as the Drop Cable (or Drop Trunk Cable). The wrong cable will not fit into the wrong connector. When preparing for installation, plan so that a BackBone cable of suitable length runs through every location where STNG (NMEA2000) devices need to be installed. Leave a break at important points where a T-connector or 5-Way connector can be installed, and no instrument connected via a branch cable to a connector on the BackBone should be further than 5 metres away.
