The new generation autopilot controller, the Raymarine p70Rs, features a 3.5-inch (320 x 240 pixels) sunlight-readable TFT LCD 16-bit QVGA colour display. The p70Rs is designed specifically for powerboats. The p70Rs allows for the management of all Evolution and SPX series autopilot functions. User-configurable pages enable the display of all necessary navigation data. The p70Rs autopilot control units are connected to the STNG (NMEA2000) network. The package includes the p70Rs controller, STNG spur cable, gasket, and mounting screws. The Evolution and SPX series autopilots, combined with the p70Rs controller, allow for the use of fishing or recreational “patterns”. While the p70R boasts excellent screen functions, with a 3.5-inch format display, an equally good-looking autopilot control head is available in two versions: p70 with 1-degree and 10-degree rotary buttons, mainly aimed at sailing vessels, and p70Rs with a combination of buttons and rotary knobs for motorboats. The p70s and p70Rs autopilot control heads are easily customisable, able to display pilot information in a variety of formats to suit the user.
Both the P70s and P70R support Auto, Standby, Pattern, Track and Wind Vane auto-steer modes, with the P70R additionally featuring power assist and jog Steer modes. Anglers will find the wide range of fishing patterns particularly useful, freeing them to concentrate on their surroundings and the important fish. The P70s and P70Rs Autopilot Compute Heads, supporting multiple data sources, are compatible with Raymarine Evolution series, SPX series and Raymarine ST Autopilots (S1, S2 and S3 including G variants).
The i70s, p70s and p70R models all feature Raymarine’s new LightHouse user interface; it is simple and fast to use and is also compatible with Raymarine’s new Axiom multifunction display, so if users are familiar with LightHouse, they will feel equally at home with all of Raymarine’s new products.
The p70 / p70s control panel also has LightHouse user interface and a startup wizard to help you set up the pilot quickly and easily.

NB! The p70s and p70Rs autopilot controllers can also be used with older S1/S1G, S2/S2G, S3/S3G autopilots. To connect the new autopilot controllers to older S1/S1G, S2/S2G, S3/S3G autopilots, you can use the STNG to SeaTalk-1 converter. The connection can also be made directly to the end of the old controller's cable; for a secure connection, use A06073 adapter cable and D244 3-Way Junction Box-i.
